Notifying EMU of Intent to Live Off-campus
Please be aware that all students planning to live at home with their parents are required to submit the off-campus housing appeal form. This form helps us to identify you and plan for your arrival at EMU. If you have any questions or concerns, please email email@example.com or call student life at (540) 432-4135.
Failure to complete this important step may result in your account being assessed a semester’s cost for room and board.
Get connected, Stay connected
If you are a commuter student, sometimes it takes a little more work to make connections. The easiest way to meet other students is to get involved in campus life. Student organizations have something for everyone. Come to the Clubs and Organizations Ice Cream Social in the Campus Center on the second Thursday of the school year at 7:30 pm to get all the information you need. Also, check out recreational sports where you will find information about intramurals, the fitness center, and other related physical activities.
What is happening on campus?
The events calendar has all the latest happenings on EMU’s campus. By clicking on the event you will find a detailed description of who, what and when for anything that is going on at EMU. You will also want to check the Campus Activities Council Facebook page often.
Please check your student mailbox and e-mail address frequently. You will receive graded material from professors as well as important announcements about other campus opportunities.
Other great ways to stay informed about what’s happening…
- Posters in the Campus Center, University Commons and stairwells
- Weathervane (weekly university newspaper)
- Chapel announcements every Friday
- White boards in the Campus Center greeting hall and the Science Center.
Wondering if the snow or ice is causing a delay in classes? MY EMU will have all the latest announcements or you can sign up for EMU Alerts and receive a text when decisions are made. These announcements will also be send via e-mail and posted clearly on the website.
